Got this mail on 17th May,11:20 PM IST for getting into GSoC under Wikimedia-Foundation 🎉.

This summer I'll be working on the project : Gamified Knowledge Base Completion Plugin for Wikibase/Wikidata

Project Overview:

The project is about integration of WikiDataComplete to Wikibase/Wikidata for Knowledge Base(KB) Completion which extracts the facts from external sources (such as Wikipedia) which can be added to the Wikidata Knowledge Base.After the validation that fact can be pushed to WikiData KB.

Week 1:

  • Accepted Projects Announced!!!!!!!!
  • Attended WikiMedia Welcome Party

I'm in last row and second column ;)

  • Interacted to some fellow participants in the community.
  • Had a meeting with the mentors (Andreas Both , Alexander Perevalov, Guo Kunpeng , Dennis Diefenbach) on discussing about the pathway to complete the project and different milestones related to project.

Week 2:

  • Learnt about working of Mediawiki APIs and how to use them
  • Testing and learning about the working of WikiDataComplete API for KB completion.
  • Had a meeting with mentors for discussing the further development of project.

I'm excited to begin my journey with WikiMedia Foundation this summer ! ✌
